The traditional craft of Indian block printing is a meditative and calming way of creating pattern on fabric. Using hand-carved ethically sourced wooden blocks from India, learn how to create the perfect print.

You will have plenty of time to practice on fabric before deciding on your final layout. Then once you are feeling confident, choose from a selection of blank items to print on.

Blank items include tea towels, tote bags and cushions. This will be discussed on booking.

Silk painted Suncatchers NEW!

Silk painting is the process of applying specialist dyes/paints to 100% silk to create colourful pieces of art.

On this relaxing silk painting class, you will have the opportunity to make two hand painted scarves. You will learn about different silks, silk dyes and how to set them using the microwave. Every scarf is unique, and they make great gifts. If you have ever wanted to try Silk painting, then this would be a great way to start. Gift Vouchers are available for this class.

Silk painted Bookmarks

If you’re looking for a mindful and relaxing class, this could be the answer. You will have the opportunity to learn some silk painting techniques by applying dye to pre-gutta outlined bookmarks. You will take home two bookmarks which will be displayed in a plastic wallets and matching tassels. No previous skills required.

If you have always wanted to learn Hand Embroidery, but just don’t know where to start? Then this introduction class could be for you. Hand Embroidery is so on trend at the moment, from cushions to clothes there is no sign of this trend going away.

On this class you will be taught 7 basic embroidery stitches and produce a labelled stitch sampler for future reference. Beautiful pieces of work can be created with just a few stitches, and you will be given plenty of time to master each stitch. With your newly acquired skills you will have the opportunity to start a new piece of work.  

Stitches: Satin Stitch, running stitch, back stitch, woven wheel, split stitch, lazy daisy and french knot.
